Account deletion
This page explains how to delete your VitalTrak account and the data associated with it. For all end-user accounts, deletion is performed directly from within the mobile Application, with no need to visit a website or contact support. Deletion is immediate.
Family members
Family accounts can be deleted directly from the mobile app:
- Open the VitalTrak app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- In the Account section, select Delete account.
- Confirm the action in the dialog.
Deletion is immediate: your account is removed from the system and you are signed out. If
the in-app button is not working for any reason, email
info@strukto.tech with subject

Medical staff (surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, orderlies)
Medical staff can also delete their account directly from within the Application, following the same steps as a family member (Profile > Account > Delete account). Deletion is immediate: future assignments are canceled automatically, and the user's reference on past surgeries is anonymized (set to NULL) to preserve record integrity without linking the history to your identity.
Alternatively, your Institution's administrator can remove your account from the Staff
section of their admin panel. If the administrator of your Institution is no longer
available and the in-app button is also unavailable, email
info@strukto.tech with subject

email associated with your account.
Clinic administrators
Clinic administrators can also delete their account from within the Application. For safety, if you are the only administrator of your Institution, the Application will refuse the deletion and ask you to designate another administrator first, to prevent the Institution from being left without governance over its own data. Once at least one additional administrator exists, you can delete your account like any other user.
If, in addition, you need to fully offboard the clinic's operation from VitalTrak (not
just your personal account), email info@strukto.tech
with subject Admin account deletion — VitalTrak from the email registered as
administrator, stating the Institution's name and what should happen to the clinic data.
Strukto verifies the request and processes it within a maximum of 10 business days.
Anonymous tracking sessions (no account)
If you used the access code to track a surgery without creating a family account, you have nothing to delete: anonymous sessions are automatically purged 7 days after the surgery ends.
Data that is deleted
For all accounts that are deleted, we erase:
- The authentication record (email, hashed password, identifiers).
- The user profile (name, phone, photo if any).
- The user's direct links to surgeries (for family members,
family_accessrows; for medical staff, assignments to upcoming surgeries).
Data that is retained
For legal, contractual, or security reasons, certain data is not deleted when an account is closed:
- Patient clinical data: belongs to the Institution (the legal data controller of the medical record) and remains under its custody pursuant to Mexican Official Standard NOM-024-SSA3-2012, which requires retention of the clinical record for at least five years from the last medical event. Deletion of such data is decided by the Institution; Strukto, as processor, cannot erase it at a family member's request.

Audit log (
audit_log_access): retained anonymized (with no user identifier) for up to 12 months for security and fraud prevention, then automatically deleted. - Historical assignments of medical staff to past surgeries: retained in the Institution's records. Once the account is closed, the practitioner's name remains in the records but is no longer an active account.
Timeline
For family members, medical staff, and clinic administrators who delete their account from within the Application, deletion is immediate. The only exception is a full clinic offboarding requested by email to Strukto, which has a maximum processing time of 10 business days from receipt of the request.
