Account deletion
This page explains how to request deletion of your VitalTrak account and the data associated with it. The procedure depends on the type of account you hold.
Family members
Family accounts can be deleted directly from the mobile app:
- Open the VitalTrak app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- In the Account section, select Delete account.
- Confirm the action in the dialog.
Deletion is immediate: your account is removed from the system and you are signed out. If
the in-app button is not working for any reason, email
info@strukto.tech with subject

Medical staff (surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, orderlies)
Medical staff accounts are linked to your Institution (hospital or clinic). For security reasons and due to the legal obligations surrounding the medical record, deletion is performed by your Institution's administrator from the VitalTrak admin panel.
- Request deletion from your clinic's administrator.
- The administrator will remove your account from the Staff section of the panel.
- Your access is revoked immediately.
If the administrator of your Institution is no longer available or cannot process the
request, email info@strukto.tech with subject
Delete account — Medical staff, indicating your Institution's name and the
email associated with your account. We will coordinate the deletion with the Institution.
Clinic administrators
Administrator accounts control data for an entire Institution, so deletion is processed assisted to avoid accidental data loss.

Admin account deletion — VitalTrakfrom the email registered as administrator. - State the Institution's name and, where applicable, what should happen to the clinic data (transfer to a new administrator, retain for legal purposes, fully delete).
- Strukto verifies the request and processes the deletion within a maximum of 10 business days.
Anonymous tracking sessions (no account)
If you used the access code to track a surgery without creating a family account, you have nothing to delete: anonymous sessions are automatically purged 7 days after the surgery ends.
Data that is deleted
For all accounts that are deleted, we erase:
- The authentication record (email, hashed password, identifiers).
- The user profile (name, phone, photo if any).
- The user's direct links to surgeries (for family members,
family_accessrows; for medical staff, assignments to upcoming surgeries).
Data that is retained
For legal, contractual, or security reasons, certain data is not deleted when an account is closed:
- Patient clinical data: belongs to the Institution (the legal data controller of the medical record) and remains under its custody pursuant to applicable regulations. Deletion of such data is decided by the Institution.

Audit log (
audit_log_access): retained anonymized (with no user identifier) for up to 12 months for security and fraud prevention, then automatically deleted. - Historical assignments of medical staff to past surgeries: retained in the Institution's records. Once the account is closed, the practitioner's name remains in the records but is no longer an active account.
Timeline
For family members, deletion is immediate. For medical staff, it depends on the Institution's administrator (typically same-day). For clinic administrators, the maximum processing time is 10 business days from receipt of the request.
